About the Queensland Sports Turf Managers Association
The Queensland Sports Turf Managers Association (QSTMA) is a combined body of the former Golf Course Superintendents Association of Queensland (GCSAQ) and Sports Turf Association of Queensland (STAQ), who joined together in 2025 to form one industry association, representing the interests of all Sports Turf Managers in Queensland.
The Association’s aim is to organise and support educational meetings for Members such as seminars, conferences and field days associated with turf management.
The QSTMA is committed to broadening its membership base by promoting awareness of the association to those outside the metropolitan areas.
Membership of the Association is open to all Sports Turf Managers, Apprentices and Trade members who represent companies in the golf turf industry.
The Association’s operations are implemented by a volunteer committee of nine (9) annually elected Turf Managers, and one trade representative.
